Tropical Vibes For the Indian Wedding
So we all know about the ‘Big Fat Indian Wedding” thing we have going on. As the modern Asian couple start to pull their wedding together, they’ll start to develop their team of wedding planners, photographers, caterers, DJs and more.
We want to make the event as unique and special to us as possible, but I do find that once someone has a particular style at their wedding another couple may have the same features, decor, colours etc. I know Indian weddings are full of colour, vibrancy, pops of colour, ornate mandaps, backdrops and stage settings and I do love this. However, 2017 has proven to be a year of greenery and tropical vibes. Yes we're in the UK and far from the tropics, but what’s to say you can’t bring the style, decor, feel and unique element to your special day. Stand out from the crowd, wow your guests and create an urban tropical theme with your big day.
So it may not be part of the main day, but the pre-wed days could be perfect for this, from the mendhi night, dholki, sangeet or even the pithi set up.
Lifting the feeling and atmosphere of the event.
"Tropical doesn't define luxury, adding simple tropical foliage to a beautiful floral scape can add decadence"
Ask your wedding planner/events planner, start building your ideal set with pinterest boards, magazine cut outs, whatever inspires you. Take a step back from the norm of the glitz and glam or sparkly floors. Tropical doesn't define luxury, adding simple tropical foliage to a beautiful floral scape can add decadence to a room. Lifting the feeling and atmosphere of the event. I’ve pulled some of my favourite ideas and inspired images. Will be sharing a fab project later this year all around tropical and luxe.
